2010 Reserve Yakima Valley Syrah
100% Yakima Valley Syrah from the Sheridan Vineyard 'Old Block North' and made by Scott Greer. Scott harvests the fruit for ded.reckoning based entirely on how it tastes in the vineyard, not according to more typical lab analysis. The fruit is then hand-picked, sorted and aged for just over two years in French Oak. Only 4 barrels of ded.reckoning Yakima Valley Reserve Syrah were produced in 2010. The resulting wine is nearly opaque blue/black with intense aromas of smoke, grilled meat, game, lanolin, fresh lavender and blackberries. It is dense and mouth coating with powerful flavors of berry syrup, currant, bacon and herb. It will certainly have a long life ahead in the cellar.
This is a monumental wine that certainly justifies being called the first 'reserve' wine in the ded.reckoning stable.

Davy Jones' Locker
Cabernet Franc
Sourced from Dineen Vineyard and made by Sheridan's Scott Greer, this dense and dark Cabernet Franc has all the herby and floral notes of a French version with the massive fruit and structure that only Washington can provide. Aged for several months in French Oak barrels, it provides layers of Skagit Valley Strawberry, wild vining blackberry, lavender, candied violets and the perfume of lilacs to the nose, and a rich mouth of currants, more berries and Bing cherry. Soft tannins and crisp acid make this a fantastic drinker now and give it the structure for several years more in the cellar.

Ded Man's Chest
The first dessert wine we have ever done in the ded.reckoning line. It is fabulously rare and will in all likelihood never be seen again in this form. Back in the 1980's in Pasco Washington, various grapes were planted at the Preston facility for trials and as experiments.
